Highway 378 speed limit drops from 55 to 45 and then 35
Unmarked police vehicle sits out of sight and springs on any vehicle exceeding speed limit.I was doing 60 and received a ticket for $388.00 .Officer told me if I came to traffic court the fine would be reduced and there would be no points .Fine reduced to $180 . There were approximately 50 people in court with the ticketing officer .Everyone received a 60 or 65 MPH ticket in a 45MPH .It is truly a scam. Go onto to Turbeville web site and you will think you are looking at Mayberry RFD.

This is absolutely a Speed Trap. I too was stopped in the little town. The fine was $288.00 for a "Traffic Ordinance" violation. He told me I was doing over 60 in a 35 zone. The State Speeding Ticket would have been 4 or 6 points. With Turbeville, I had no points -just $300.00 lighter. I could have kissed him. What a well dressed policeman! The citizens of this town should ignore the disparaging remarks in the media. So what if you issue more 'traffic citations' than the adult population of your town?
Keep the cash cow flowing from those 'out of towners'!
