Highway 70 in the town of Bylas

Bylas, ArizonaOct 19, 20021 Comments

US 70 runs through the small indian community of Bylas. It’s posted at 50 for about 4 miles- most drivers are just itching to get through town. San Carlos PD likes to work it on the west end of town where it changes to 65 and many people speed up before the sign. I’ve seen enforcement as far west of town as the "tree" pullout spot. Watch out- the days of "flying across the res" are quickly becoming few and far between as Bylas and San Carlos become more fully staffed with much needed police resources.

Comments:
Reservation also has a different set of laws, so you may be surprised by the size of the ticket and the way that the justice system enforces it. It is true, people are itching to get through the town.
