Highway From Elroy

Mauston, WisconsinJul 14, 20031 Comments

As a fairly young driver, I was set on cruise control to be going 60-62 during a very dead time of day. An officer passed me going the opposite direction and whipped around to follow me. And he followed me for a few miles to make me nervous. I didn’t really slow down much because I wan’t speeding all that much. After a while, he popped his lights on and pulled me over. After claiming that I was going 74, I was shocked. I knew my spedometer was off, but wrong direction! When he asked why I was going that fast, I told him the truth. I was using cruise control, and I know my spedometer is off, but it’s not off in that direction. He rudely asked what year my car was and basically told me that I’m a liar and my lies won’t work. I’ve never had a ticket, or even written warning before, and he gave me a doozy. On the ticket, there is a clerical error. The year of my car is wrong. So far off, that my car wasn’t yet made in that year by dodge! I know that since I’m still under 20, cops thrive on pulling me over. Plus, I had a car load of kids which I was babysitting, they were all around 15 years old. I guess I’m not so much mad about being pulled over, it’s just that the cops were very rude and never offered the radar gun to me for veiwing.

Comments:
First off, Police officers in the state of Wisconsin are not required to show any speeders what they locked the speeding vehicle at. Before you go bashing people, know what your talking about, and brush up on your grammar.
