Hilt just past Oregon/California state line

Just past the Oregon/California border CHP units sit in the meridian to nail people coming down the 6% grade. It is especially hard to see them at night as they have all lights off, and will drive up behind you without lights on. I was pulled over Labor Day weekend 2009 in this manner.
There was no one behind me and suddenly I had headlights and flashers behind me.
Also at the bottom of the big hill just north of Yreka there is a wide turnout in the meridian near the bridge over the creek and I have seen CHP units parked there to nail people coming around the turn and down the hill. By the time you see them it is usually too late. It is very hard to see them around dusk also. I just saw one doing this on the 26th of March 2010.

Comments:
When you are coming south into California, the speed limit goes from 55 mph (Oregon) to 65 mph as soon as you cross the stateline at Hilt. You start down a few grades but you should still be able to hold your speed to at least 70 mph. I drive that stretch of highway very frequently and maintain 70 mph and have never been stopped.
