Lahoma has a well known reputation with the locals that you will get a ticket if you are over the speed limit by as little as 3 mph. The enforcement is primarily when the police feel up to it. Two important items to remember are #1: The speed limit is reduced in 10 mph increments from 70 mph to 35 mph and these increments are watched. #2: The end of school zone sign is not the last flashing amber light that you usually expect but posted on the sign past the light from both sides of town.
