Hollister Ave. between Kellogg and Fairview

If you cruise this 25 MPH zone at 30 MPH or more you’re going to get a ticket during the day. I drive through this stretch almost every day at lunchtime and see at least one and often two cars pulled over both times I cruise through. There are two or three bike cops just roaming this short stretch back and forth during that hour. And they have plenty of "cute" hiding spots so don’t assume know one’s watching just because you can’t see one.

There are also constant cross-walk stings going on during the lunch hour, where they send the same under-cover officer back and forth across one of the crosswalks until someone bites. I don’t disagree with these stings as drivers are pretty bad about this, but make sure it’s not you.

Comments:
I got a ticket in March 2010 by the exact same bike cop. Ticket cost me over $300. Saw many people speeding while getting my ticket and I asked why me, the cop said I am not the first and will not be the last to get a ticket there.
