Horace Harding Expy East Bound and Peck

There is a speed detection camera installed on the spot. It’s right after the exit of LIE and before St. Francis Prep. The speed limit is 30.

I received 4 in one week.. really ridiculous! no signs... it's just a trap to get more money. I have seen another area where it's 30 miles hr and drops to 15 by school. They should HAVE to have signs showing where the school zone begins and ends. your driving and all of a sudden there's a school and that's it! I can see if you are really speeding and should get a tkt for that anyway down a street but this has gotten out of hand with these school zones. Question - what about the parents double and triple parked outside the schools blocking roads and just sitting there! Thats doesn't get a ticket!

It is senseless to have a speed trap on this Expressway which is for vehicular traffic as no one walks across this section of the Expressway. There should be signs indicating the school zone area, and some sort of notification when these speed traps are installed. I do not like the feeling that our highly respected PD is acting like the scam artist setting a trap to catch responsible residents at 50 bucks a pop easy money. The new zoning law takes effect today November 7, 2014 therefore violation tickets issued prior to this date should be rescinded.

I think this needs to stop, and I'm going to get the law involved with this garbage that these blood-sucking bureaucrats have put into order with these speed cameras in so-called "School zones." It's just a white-collar crime, and we should hold the city in contempt.
