Hwy 173 from riverhills to Hwy 16
The speed limit has been reduced in the last few months from 55 mph to 45 mph. Add to this that Kerrville PD has several unmarked cruisers in the fleet (several of wich are the new Chargers and in several factory colors) you are cruising right by them before you even see them.

I got a warning for 55mph in a 45mph on 173 ( right in front of the movie theater) in December of 2009. I was confused because I thought it was still a 55mph zone. Later on while driving back down kinda near the RV park just before the loop and sure enough there was a speed limit sign, posted 45mph. They should move it so its not near a curve in the road. But it has been 45mph for at leased a year now. I have to admit, those new Dodge Chargers do look pretty slick.
I have not seen any unmarked ones though, just the stealth ones.
First of all, the speed limit between Loop 534 and Hwy 16 was never 55. It was 50, but was reduced to 45 a couple years ago. The cars are not unmarked...they are stealth - the markings are there-you just have to look for them. And lastly, if you obey the posted speed limit, you have nothing to worry about. Get a life.
