Quincy is NOT loosing business at all. We have major businesses building here due to cheap power (Microsoft, Google). Our law enforcement are not overactive at all. Some days we only have 1 or 2 officers on at a time due to lack of officers willing to move to our small town. Because of this Grant Co. Sherriff's help patrol. As a citizen we ask that ALL driver's slow down. MANY people try & get around the stop light at HWY 28 & HWY 281 use the side streets. My little city street has become a major cut off & people run the stop sign, speed at 40+mph where kids are playing & walking home from school. We have had countless semi-trucks illegally driving down our side streets at all hours of the day & night. As for the school speed zone on the hwy it's because children walk home from school & have to cross major highways. Shouldn't their safety come first over your speeding? Those 2 zones have flashing lights & operate only during the 2 times that kids are walking back & forth so it's not all day.
