Hwy 287 North

Headed north on 287 with my daughter driving. She had the cruise set at 75 (showed 73 on Waze app). Rounded a curve at the top of a hill and came upon a 50 mph sign. We immediately slowed down but not quick enough for the hidden speed trap . She was pulled over and written a ticket for 76 mph. What a scam. This is a first as the mercenary ticket writer had prepackaged envelopes with a set of three page instructions for paying the ticket. After reading I discovered why he bumped up the speed she was actually going by at least 10 miles per hour. It states that if 26 or over you are not eligible for a defensive driving class. How convenient is this for the city handing out $250 tickets to struggling college students. I never saw an actual town.
