Hwy 29
Palmetto cops will write you up if you turn left onto Hwy 29 from some of the fast-food joints just outside the city–they get you for "crossing a double yellow line" even though it’s done all the time. Lunch hour during the work week is their favorite time to catch people.

I saw a Palmetto Cop with a Car pulled over and a Commercial vehicle passed him in the turning lane. another Cop pulled him over for no reason. Then I was at a Fast Food Place and a man turned left out of the parking lot and was immediately pulled over. as I passed them I heard the Cop tell the man that he could not make a left turn. There was no sign saying no left turn. `Every day the
Cops pull over at least 20 people, I constantly see them being pulled over. The Cops have new Cars maybe they are trying to pay for them with tickets How ever this is wrong and should be investigated The citizens of South Fulton and Coweta County Ga need Help to stop this
the only place you cannot turn left is out of the chevron gas station - it is unsafe and it is marked with a sign (no left turn)...there is too many ways to get hit there doing a left hand turn....ask me how I know. I got hit making a left hand turn and I never saw the car coming from my right. I live in Palmetto and let me tell you, there used to be wrecks there daily before they started ticketing for it.
PPD is bad. I have lived in palmetto for 18 years and it has never been as bad as it is now. you cannot go through palmetto without seeing someone pulled over. They will post up at the old airport off of 29 on the north side of palmetto and pull people over all day long. They have their new all black dodge chargers, so they also have pretty good camo in the night time. Dont speed through palmetto, the speed limit is 25 through town. take my advise, dont even go 26. minimum $200 ticket.
