Hwy 313 between 31W & I-65, especially 2 miles east of 31W.

Hwy 313 is a wide, two-lane highway with wide shoulders, and passing lanes on each of the hills. Speed limit is 55 mph. State Troopers and Vehicle Enforcement Officers often patrol Hwy 313 picking up traffic coming from the opposite direction. There are also several very short, locked entrances to side roads some of which lead onto Fort Knox. These entrances are also difficult to see because they intersect 313 from between berms and cuts through rock cliffs (Wooldridge Ferry Road). These provide places for police to park and wait with radar. The two miles just east of 31W are also heavily patrolled by Radcliff Police Officers. These two miles are quite straight and a lead foot will often result in a citation.
