Hwy. 45

Medina, TennesseeOct 12, 20112 Comments

On the north side of town , the 55 mph zone has been extended about half a mile. Previously the 65 mph zone started before main street . Now it is about half a mile further down . They sit right where the sign used to be, especially at night. People speed up out of habit . They write them a ticket. Nice racket , huh ?

Comments:
New boundaries were set by the State not the City....Just because of HABIT you obviously come through there enough since you know when and where they sit ....why not do the new speed limit and quit your crying....not a speed trap....just doing the job .....GOOD JOB

I agree it is a racket definitely the speed signs are misleading in this particular area. They have red hidden red light camera sensors under the pavement in this area also. Its only a matter of time with cities like Medina that every street will have big brother watching and if you go over by one mile an hour you have broken the law and will be fined. Its all about money. What I cannot figure out is Medina only makes $13.00 dollars per ticket and the camera company makes $37.00. Someone with the camera company got a nice bonus. I recently had lunch in a restaurant in Medina, they just lost my future business. In long run people such as myself will void the area.
