Hwy 51 north, and south of city limits Mercer
They seem to have their own part time cop in this town along with state patrol and county boys. Speed limit goes all the way down to 25 mph. They like to hang down just south of large motel there and north at city garage area.. Be careful.
Could not agree more about them searching for drunks/drinkers in these little bergs at night. Actually had state trooper tell me, I was pulled over because he was bored, wife and I laughed all the way home to our upper Michigan home.
He was extremely polite and we took little offense.
Never travel through small bergs at night unless you want to be given the once over.
