Hwy 52 in St. Stephens
Local patrolmen sit and wait patiently for unsuspecting travelers passing through the 4 lane town that goes from 55mph’s to 45mph’s and then unclearly down to 35mph’s.

I'm live time resident of St.Stephen, I recently was stopped for 40 in a25 zone. I thought that the limit was 35. I was driving on Hwy45 going towards Jamestown when I was stopped the cop proceeded to tell that if I was driving in to town that the steed limit is 35. My question is how does the same highway have 2 different speed limits if you're going in different directions. There is no speed limit sign. I asked the cop how that was possible and he told me to take it up with the state. I was given a $265. So beware.
