Hwy 54-57, 2 miles south of City proper
After driving from Green Bay to Sturgeon Bay on 54 – 57, the 4 lane at 65 mph, the speed limit drops quickly to 45 as you enter a gentle sweeping right hand curve that’s even banked a bit. It remains 45 mph through the bypass of town, over the bridge and well passed the town on the North side yet alway four lanes. Very hard to see the first few speed signs at night.

This poster failed to note that there are about six miles of 55 mph speed limit between the 65 mph four lane and the 45 mph section that is on the west side of town. The limit is 55 mph roughly from the entrance of high way 42 onto the 54-57 section all the way to the west edge of town, about six miles.
Writer is wrong. It is 65mph from Green Bay on hwy 57. It drops to 55 mph at 42/57 some 5 miles south of SB. It drops to 45 mph at city limits.
This is a speed trap only to out of staters (ie ILL). Slow down!!
