Hwy 70 East/Westbound (mile markers 1-3)
There are 4 common places for the police to hide. 1. Right at the speed limit change from/to 45/55 mph in a small gravel parking lot in front of a small building. This is the least common spot however.
2. Just east of the Amoco station between 2 small hills. There is a small dirt entrance on the south side of the highway that sits back in the trees some. They have both marked and unmarked cars and both are very hard to see, but the black Escort is nearly invisible. This spot is a very good spot for them because of the very short distance between the top of the hills on either side. Very common spot.
3. The intersection by the Amoco station, usually on the north side. Not a very common spot either.
4. Between mile markers 2 and 3, almost right at mile marker 2, there is a small brick building on the corner of Burrowtown Rd and Hwy 70 (3-way intersection, no stop sign on hwy 70). They sit on the east side of the building by the loading docks for semi-trucks. Sometimes they park out in front closer to the highway, but not often. Very common spot. The speed limit is 45, but I go through safely at 50. However, I live out here so that might make a difference! See if you can spot the 2 "speed trap" signs a couple of the local businesses have posted. One is at the 3-way intersection of Highway 70 and Burrowtown Rd. Note: Mile markers start over at county lines on state highways
