We were traveling down hwy. 77, Jericho, AR, Crittenden County. As we approached a 45 MPH speed limit we begin to descend our speed. The speed dropped from 55 to 45 in just a matter of a few miles. We were attempting to slow down when we realized we were in a 45 MPH speed zone. The officer informed us we crossed the Jericho city limits doing a 51 in a 45 MPH speed zone. Which we didn’t question. But we were slowing down & it was 8:41 at night didn’t see the 45 MPH speed zone until we were right on it. We had no idea we were in Jericho city limits. This is a very, very small town. We feel the ticket was a little too much. $150 for 6 mi. over the speed.
