Hwy 78 and 124 intersection near South Gwinnett HS
The speed drops from 45 to 35 mph near South Gwinnett High School. There is an overhead sign that states 35 mph when flashing. The signage can confuse drivers as to what the speed is when not flashing. In addition, you will get pulled over at any time whether school is in session or not, even at midnight. At night it is difficult to see signs that post the speed limit change. Cited for going less than 15 mph over the limit and the ticket is over $300. Police cars are often lined up in this area.
