After dark and especially on weekends, Trooper sits in the ditch or the median and gets you before you see him. It’s a long and boring road with little traffic so it’s hard to go the limit, that’s a good enough reason for the Trooper to be there. Big trucks seem to get a free pass, they are looking for college students in cute little cars. Make sure you gas up, there’s few stations on this route. Lots of deer crossing the road at night in summer/fall, so be aware, I have counted 24 on one trip.
