Hwy 87 South side

Brady, TexasFeb 19, 20110 Comments

When coming out of Brady going north on Hwy 87 to San Angelo you’ll cross Brady Creek, a small bridge and then the road turns 30-45 degrees to the north from what had been the northwesterly direction. In a restaurant parking lot on the road, most recently called "The Spot" (but for many years had been a Mexican eatery) local Brady police will camp out. Here they’ll radar northbound traffic to see if they’ll exceed 45mph as speed is just beginning to ramp up as it had been 30-35 mph previously. When you begin to veer to the north while crossing this small bridge you’ll immediately be hit with radar straight on from the left (south-side) of Hwy. 87 (from the front of this restaurant parking area), and you’ll either not have time to react or your radar detector will not alert you in time.
