The El Paso Police Department is currently using low profile Chevrolet Corsicas that have been retired from the detective ranks. The colors vary, but I have seen Dark Blue, White, and Green. These Corsicas have limo dark window tint with directional light bars just above the third brake light. They also have two alternately flashing red lights between the rear view mirror and the windshield. Some, but not all, of the units have radar equipment. And any external markings are limited to “El Paso Police Department Speed Enforcement”” on the driver’s and passanger’s side door in red letters to blend in with the vehicle’s color. “”El Paso Police”” is also stenciled along the top of the windshield in a mirror image so it can be read by the ‘violator’ when being pursued. “
