Spaces in the wooded island between eastbound and westbound lanes are hiding grounds for state troopers. The danger and the problem is that the flow of traffic frequently exceeds the posted 65 mph. Should you some be caught in the left lane when passing an area hiding a trooper with a gun, it’s all over.
