I-196 near MM-56

Holland, MichiganNov 20, 20111 Comments

State police set on SB side on the downhill section. I received a warning for 66.6 in a posted 60. Had to pay $20.00 or officer would have kept my license. Would have been ticketed only he found problem with my truck and cited me for that. Not much allowance.

I'm don't live in Michigan but I go there plenty. From what I've read off of the MDOT website law enforcement can take a drivers license or cash amount not to excede $100. I've never recieved a ticket in Michigan but I carry the extra cash just so I don't have to give up my license. And for everyone that reads this, if you get a ticket in Michigan they don't report it to your home state-if you live outside of Michigan.
