Stretches of I-20 East and West Bound are currently under construction and certain segments have been reduced to a ridiculous 45MPH! This is not a misprint – 45 MPH on a U.S. Interstate Highway. Doubled ticket fines are the order of the day and the State Trooper presence – combined with police from other municipalities is akin to a socialist nation at its border crossings. Worse, the parallel U.S. Highway – U.S. 78 is the only alternate route and hasn’t been updated in years and even merges with I-20 for a few miles. It’s a disgusting, repugnant and oppressing stretch of highway.
