I-27 from Canyon to intersection of I-40
This stretch of highway extending from just north of Canyon to the near downtown Amarillo is congested at nearly all times of the day. Although it is only 15 miles, it is not uncommon to see up to 5 troopers and police cars. The section where you’re most likely to encounter a cop is from the Intersection of US 87 to Bell Avenue. If you notice a car going really slow in the fast lane, it’s more than likely a trooper.
