I-275 between 38th Ave & 54th Ave exits northbound

St. Petersburg, FloridaFeb 22, 20111 Comments

Approximately between the 38th and 54th Ave exits of I-275 for the northbound side there is first a slight hill that goes down more than it rises and the straight ahead view is blocked by an overpass. So as you come down that hill you cannot traffic, or the state trooper ahead. The state trooper hides on the right side on the grassy bank of the on-ramp. By the time you see it, it would be too late. This state trooper is there sporadically, but often enough that I always go 65mph, the posted speed limit. Watch for cars slowing down in front of you already at the bottom of the hill, and by no means speed down that hill with no other cars around!

Comments:
This stretch of the Interstate is "easy money" and the troopers treat it as such. In fact any portion of I-275 from 54th ave. north to the Howard Franklin Bridge is overly well patrolled.
