I 275 between 8 mile and 5 mile
The Michigan state police an the Livonia police target this area during the work commute . They will position a cop on the 8 mile over pass an radio down to waiting cars . Be very carful through this area as typically they have so many cops up to 12 that is causes major traffic backups an sudden stops thus several accidents.

Yes, I saw this State Police sponsored ticket party, counted 10 motorcycle cops. It went on at least for 4 hours and causes a dangerous traffic slowdown and congestion. Any local who gets a speeding ticket on I-275 between 8 mile and I-96 basically deserves the ticket. There is rarely a day between 9 am and 4 pm when one of the cops from Livonia, Northville or a state police car is NOT waiting in one of the turn arounds.
This stretch of 275 is definitely a speed trap but I live off 8 mile and have never seen a cop on the overpass. They hang out at the mile road exits and turn arounds. Cops are creatures of habit and tend to favor certain locations.
