I-287 Northbound approach
This town is right after a bend in the highway where 287 crosses the Red River. The town is so small that you do not see it coming. The in town speed limit is 40, while 287 is 65. The speed limit decreases very qwickly. The town did put up double sized speed limit signs, but many are still caught. This was a town that used to make 90% of its revenue off speeding tickets and inspired a Texas law limiting the amount of income from speeding tickets to 70%.
