I-40

Craig, ColoradoMay 29, 20022 Comments

i’ve been driving to craig from denver my whole life and about 95% of the time i see a cop between these two towns. i think it’s because of the high traffic, open roads, and lack of any other funding. speed limit is 65 in most places. i’m the only person in my family to not get a ticket here

Comments:
Yes, the speed trap is still there!

Hmmmm, to begin with, I-40 is about 400 miles south of the Craig-Denver route so I assume you are talking about US 40. Craig to Denver is 200 miles, +/-. I too have driven it many times, both over Rabbit Ears/Berthoud and Vail/Loveland. Mountain roads, winding for the most part and the speed limits are clearly posted and reasonable. Speed trap? Only for those who disregard speed limits nearly anywhere they drive! I have been stopped by the CHP one time on these roads, I had a headlight out and got a warning.
