I-45 northbound, mile marker 261

Palmer, TexasMar 21, 20141 Comments

They caught me speeding by radar. What bothers me most is they claim that I “stopped in a prohited area.” I was fully on the shoulder of the road between the white line and the gravel. The cop wouldn’t explain why it was a prohibited area. It added another $100 to my ticket. A full blown scam.

Comments:
Yes; the prohibited area inclusion is a full blown scam. What's worse is Palmer also adds "evasion" to the list rather quickly which can be a felony and needs to be either pleaded out to a lesser evasion charge (misdemeanor) or a trial by jury. This is a common tactic known as "stacking." This is completely subjective and charges will be filed based on the officer's report, not yours and you will be jailed and need an attorney for this charge. Palmer's revenue is made all off of I-45 traffic stops and you can find their track record on-line. If you want to see the town of Palmer dry up, do not speed and their revenue will evaporate. That's why they have the high tech SUVs that look like UFOs along with (mind you) body cams on the officers.
