I-465

Indianapolis, IndianaDec 27, 20102 Comments

45 MPH construction zone, not marked properly (no lights, workers or construction). Double fines if stopped. Was stopped there several weeks ago, contacted INDOT (no construction was in progress the day I was ticketed,no construction that entire week). It seems like you get extra points (if you’re out of state). I was behind the State Trooper and watched Indiana cars passing him in the fast lane. $435 ticket and 6 points. I’m not from Indiana, and I will fight the double fine and double points.

Comments:
I went up I-465 and got a ticket for 55 in a 45 but it was a Sunday and there was no construction going on and the sign said 45 when flashing and the lights were off.The other sign said 55 but I got an over anxious cop that I could not reason with so I ended up paying the ticket. The court said if I would fight it and lose I'd have to pay 500 in court cost plus the fine so they intimidate you into paying and that's not right.
