There are two construction zones on I-5 to take note of. One is south of Salem and the other is north of Albany. Both zones are about 7 miles long. They are heavily patrolled. Many of the police have been keeping their radar guns off, choosing to pace you. Other officers who’ve used their radar guns do so "unannounced" (ie, your detector won’t pick it up until they’ve already aimed and clocked the obviously speeding vehicle – your car). Police are around both day and night.
