I-5 under 128th ST Over Pass

The officer sits under the over pass and uses radar as people go by sometime they are easy to see other times they are not.

Comments:
In 2012: this is only occasionally used. The WSP seems to prefer their "tried and true" spots at the Ash Way (164th) transit ramp for southbound traffic, where they sit almost daily, and the northbound Lynnwood Transit Center ramp, where they camp out every morning, going from one to the other. Once in awhile, they get more imaginative: look for them at the side of the road just north of 164th, near the turnaround there, on the HOV lane side, standing and pointing. Similarly, just south of SR-526 on the HOV lane side.

In 2012 (August): Within a week after writing the previous comment, I saw the WSP using this area again. The first time was with two black SUVs. One was parked perpendicular to the freeway, pointed towards the northbound lanes, the other was on the left shoulder of those lanes. No doubt, the first clocked the first violator, the second gave chase, the first clocked and chased the second violator. A day or two later, this time it was a marked unit, on the left shoulder of the northbound lanes, blocking the turnaround and shielded from southbound traffic by a large grass-cutting vehicle. No doubt, he was clocking southbound traffic behind the shield of the grass-cutting vehicle, for I didn't see them until the last second, and he was positioned to turn southbound where $ need be. He could clock and chase a northbound vehicle, too, but they'd have to be totally not paying attention not to see 'em and adjust accordingly!
