Approximately 26 mile stretch of Interstate 55 (I-55) through Ste. Genevieve county in Missouri. About 12 miles north of Perryville, MO to about 11 miles south of Festus, MO (no notable cities along I-55 exits in Ste. Genevieve county, as most are several miles from the Interstate). Saw four (4) Ste. Genevieve county sheriff cars patrolling up and down this stretch of I-55. As we were heading south, one sheriff about 1/4 mile ahead pulled off the exit, then re-entered the highway after we passed by (perhaps seeing we had out-of-state plates). Fortunately we saw them patrolling earlier, and were only 3-4 mph over the posted speed limit. Others were not so fortunate.
