La Vale is a little town near Cumberland on I-68. It’s also home to a state cops barricks and they do often patrol the highway. So, slow down here because 1) there are lots of cops 2) you’ll have to go slower in Cumberland, anyway.

Besides the State Police barracks in Lavale, the Allegany County Commissions have taken over the County Sheriff's former road patrol function with a new Police Bureau. So, WATCH OUT FOR THE COUNTY MOUNTIES, too!
