I-75 anywhere between Campbell Rd. and I-190

EVERY SUNDAY MORNING around 8:00 AM (not sure for how long) a number of police catch speeders , both north and south bound 75. EVERY Sunday morning as I go to Church I see from 1 to 6 cars stopped between I-190 and Campbell Rd. WHY EVERY SUNDAY !

Comments:
Sundays are vastly different from other days--in the eyes of law enforcement, that is. The mornings especially are so quiet, and devoid of the routine requests for police assistance/help, etc. The Saturday night club/honkey tonk crowd is at home "sleeping it off". Simply, there just isn't much to do to show activity on the part of police officers in general. So, Sunday morning "speed traps" are quite popular within most police departments. Those citizens who are normally "caught" speeding are the churchgoers and others who are thought to generally be more responsible...uh, er...more likely to pay the ticket promptly, and not take up court time, etc. And you're right about the north AND south service roads. I've even seen officers shooting radar from the elevated parts of 75 & the Turnpike. It's so easy to find yourself traveling at 60mph on the nice, wide, empty service roads. We'll just have to try harder to keep the speed below 45.

I drive this stretch everyday to work. ALWAYS on the weekends, in the morning, Richardson Police sit on the bridge of Galatyn Parkway, and radar either way on 75. If you're not paying attention, they've got you! It's easy access for them to the highway in either direction from the on ramps. I've seen up to four patrol cars at a time in any or both directions with "victims" pulled over.
