I-75 both north and south bound

Avoid Ashburn GA and Turner County. The Ashburn City Limits has been designed as a speed trap, taking in 5 miles of I-75 in order for their city police to commit highway robbery on the interstate. The Turner County police also operate a 24 X 7 speed trap there both north and south bound. You can see it on the WAZE app on your phone right now. I have been by there twice in the past year and got a ticket each time totaling over $1000. The first was for speeding when I was not, and the second for not moving over while they were giving someone else a ticket, because I was going too slow. They have the left lane essentially closed for arrests and robbery by the police. They also for the driver out of the car onto the shoulder in order to take their picture, endangering their lives. AVOID TURNER COUNTY AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER VISITING OR DOING BUSINESS THERE!!!

This place is the worst I have ever seen I also had the cruise set on 69mph.I was taken the family to Disney for vacation in was one of three vehicles being the third in line heading south bound on i-75 when at exactly 7:05 am my passport 8500x50 went full alert for laser.I began to look and didn't see anything so I continue to drive south and I see on the first overpass as you come into Ashburn and on it with the driver window down & a arm with a laser gun hanging out of it was a deputy for the turner co sheriffs dept.We continue southbound under the overpass and he backs up and gets on i-75.The deputy stops all three of us when he came to my window he proceeded to tell me I was doing 88mph which could not have been further from the truth but what could I do ?so i take the ticket he then asked me to step out of my vehicle while trafic is blowing by us he asked me to stand between his&My vehicle for no apparent reason because as soon as I did that he told me to get back inside my vehicle I guess it was to get me on his dash cam. Either way I commit to to just pay the fine so I did.It wasn't until some months later did I become aware of the other fine yea the other fine talk about double jeopardy the fine I paid was only for turner co i also thanks to him had yet another fine to the Great St of Georgia because of the quote "SUPER SPEEDER"ALL TOTAL WITH CONVIENANCE FEES FOR PAYING ONLINE ETC 1,195 BUCKS THANKS TURNER CO ..!IF I HAVE TO HAVE TO TUNNEL UNDER I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE GO THAT WAY AGAIN I WAS COMPLETELY &TOTALY ROBBED I SERIOUSLY MEAN THAT ROBBED SO CORRUPT MY FATHER , UNCLE , AND MY COUSIN ALL ARE POLICE OFICERS AND I'VE ALWAYS RESPECTED LAW ENFORCEMENT BUT THESE GUYS A TOTAL ABSOLUTE CROOKS BE WARNED IF YOU GO THROUGH TURNER CO.YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN PARREL THANKS FOR READING.

Exact same thing happened to me. Pulled over, accused of doing a ridiculous speed which I was not. Had cruise set to 71. Both my speedometer and my gps indicating 71. Ran upon a semi, moved over, pressed on gas to pass him/her. Probably reached a speed of 75 or 76 to pass him. Moved back over into right lane and hit resume. Big ole out of shape cop pulled me over and claimed I was doing 92. Biggest line of crap I think I have ever heard. Rather than argue, I just smiled and said wow. No other conversation took place. Just traveling through on vacation to Florida. Got online the next day and paid the ticket, which is what they plan on the majority of people to do. A real cash operation! It has been three months now and wow, here I receive a threatening letter from the state of Georgia wanting more money. Threatening to have my license suspended. After cursing profusely for several minutes, I calmed down and read their notice again. I noticed that they had the wrong driver license number. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO MINE! The notice also indicated I had a Georgia drivers license. I DO NOT! I live in Indiana and have an Indiana drivers license number. At this point I have forwarded a letter notifying them that unless they can produce a valid document/threat letter that clearly displays my license number then no payment can be forwarded. Let's see where this goes. GA passed legislation trying to address these traps, where the towns/counties get reduced or no money unless the ticket is for 15 mph or over. Guess what? All the tickets are being inflated. A real crooked operation going on in Georgia. Never again for me. I was making monthly trips to Florida traveling through Georgia. Never again. I will be going through Alabama from now on. No more spending money in Georgia.
