Oh, what a devilishly perfect speedtrap! On the right of the highway, to the right of the sign telling you that the exit for I-684 is coming up, there’s a huge rock covered by brush. Way over to the right, completely hidden by bushes is a spot where the state highway patrol hide. Their police cars have a perfect angle to laser oncoming traffic on I-84. Two weeks ago, my Bel 745STi warned me of K radar well in advance. I looked and I looked, then FINALLY saw him hidden in there. The spot is tailor-made to be a speedtrap, and although I have never encountered laser there, NYS troopers do seem to be using laser more and more. I have no doubt it will be used at this speedtrap soon, if it hasn’t already, because they can see at least a third of a mile behind them from here (while you CAN’T see them). They can get you from VERY far away using this speedtrap.
