On 7/30/00 5:30 p.m., a fully marked NY State Police Camaro was sitting in trees in median between NB and SB lanes. The location is slight elevated above the highway and the trooper has an excellent view of the southbound roadway. But because he is in the trees, all you can see are the car’s headlights. The posted speed is 65 mph but most traffic was moving at 75 mph and he remained in the trees. This location just south of milepost 67 is south of Exit 24 in the Town of Bolton. Other Camaros are frequently seen on Adirondack Northway, some parked in the rest area on northbound lanes in town of Clifton Park.
