Like many traps along the interstate, you’ll find cops lurking between the north and southbound lanes on those emergency U-turn. The northbound lane seems to be watched more often in the morning, the southbound more often at night, from what I’ve seen. Their cars aren’t hidden, but almost every day I see someone pulled over by the state po in this area. Watch out.
