Yes, this identification of a real speed trap is valid. I got caught coming down the Malad Pass coming from Utah. They were waiting for the mostly out of state visitors and not the mostly Idaho residents headed south. They had zero tolerance and it was a costly ticket. Incidently, two more officers (ISP) had two more vehicles pulled off after I got my speeding ticket. Hmm. None again were going South, just the Northern traffic on a Saturday morning.
