I35E North bound

Milford, TexasJan 13, 20152 Comments

The Itasca of I35E. Learned this the hard way recently. I usually take I35W on my way to DBU, but happened to take E on the way to a Stars game with a friend. Driving along at 75, the normal posted limit, pass a cop and next thing I know I’ve fallen victim to a blatant speed trap. Managed to apparently miss the one sign that drops to 65 conveniently close to the city of Milford, in which you never even catch a glimpse of the town, or any city signs. A useless, tiny town that takes advantage of it’s somewhat close placement next to I35 and uses it to pay for their tiny town of next to nothing. Be warned, they will find you and they will abuse you.

Comments:
I was popped here as well by Officer Norwood 4. Chickenshit ticket for a pussy police department in a backwoods town.

I got a ticket last night in Milford for the same thing. The cop drives in the fast lane of the freeway going substantially below the speed limit. I had to speed up to get around him and avoid the oncoming traffic in the other lane. As soon as I got safely around him, I dropped down to the speed limit. I had been going the speed limit all the way from Corpus Christi. I haven't had a ticket in the last 40 years. I always drive the speed limit. This goes beyond a speed trap and is entrapment in my opinion. I will avoid Milford like the plague from here on out. My son and brother are cops so I've always given the benefit of the doubt. No more. My son and my brother and a couple of my sons friends are the only cops I have faith in now. This kind of unethical practice starts with the Mayor and the Police Chief.
