I35E Southbound MM380

Milford, TexasNov 18, 20133 Comments

Driving south on I35 saw police officer on shoulder. Cruise control set at 71 mph tapped brakes and passed officer traveling 64 mph. Officer L. (aka sawed off Barney Fife) came roaring up behind me and pulled me over. Informing me I was clocked at 81 mph. I told him my cruise was set at 71 and was reading the same on my GPS and Speedo. I was informed he was not going to hold court on the side of the highway and if I wanted to contest it I could travel back to Texas from Raleigh NC for my court date. This is nothing but a ripoff and money maker for Milford Texas. This takes $197.00 out of my Christmas fund for my kids. I hope you sleep well at night officer L and the Milford Traffic court.
PS If you pay another $50.00 and not get another ticket for 90 days around Milford they will make it all go away, how convenient! Thieves in TX!

Comments:
It is your Constitutional Right to contest any citation issued, you are innocent till proven guilty in a Court of Law. It is irreleveant if you live in Dallas, TX or Seattle, WA it is your choice to come to court or not. You need to youtube "Cops getting struck on highway during traffic stops" to even vaguely begin to comperhend the danger faced by Police Officers conducting traffic stops on the side of the highway. You don't have to pay the $50.00 dollars to keep it off your records it's your choice. I can for a fact ensure you that the officer in question sleeps well every night because he gets to go home to his family. I pose a question to you readers, why is it you cuss the police when they stop you and give you a ticket for whatever? yet you waist no time in demanding our assistance when your neighbor won't turn their music down, or their dog is barking at midnight and you are trying to get your beauty sleep, or you arrive at your house to find your front door wide open. Adult Up and handle these problems yourself.

Its so dangerous for them to enforce their speed traps on the side of a stretch of highway their jurisdiction only has control of for a mile. I 35 is no where near Milford and motorists on the freeway are on no way endangering the town of Milford by going 70 on their way to Dallas. Nice try but you aren't protecting and serving anyone. How else would Milford be able to afford all those new cruisers? You think camping on the side of I35 is protecting the citizens of Milford?

Yes, I've been stopped outside Milford on I-35. After I got my ticket and started to pull away, the cop actually passed me on the right side shoulder and went after another person before I could even get up to full speed. And he had the nerve to tell me I was driving aggressively. I hadn't even gotten up to full speed after pulling back onto the highway after stopping to grab some food. ..and of course I couldn't come back to town to argue the ticket as I was from out of state. What a joke.
