I64w&e/I81n&s Exit 220

Staunton, VirginiaMay 11, 20101 Comments

Northbound side 200m in the median is a hidden (until it’s too late) turnaround. Just at the end of the NB acceleration lane entering the highway, but they can roll on either side.

Comments:
Amazing how helpful the county mounty was in making sure I knew how to plead guilty by mail since I didn't want the inconvenience of having to return 500 miles for trial. I was pulled (with out- of-state plates) in an extremely aggresive manner immediately after being passed by two cars with VA plates. My guess is that one of the Virginia cars was doing 84 mph. I wasn't. I'll be showing up for court since I pass through often. I will no longer eat or stay in the Staunton area as part of my travels. The deputy who pulled me should be removed for reckless driving. He could easily have caused a wreck riding my bumper at 70mph before turning on his blue light. I'm guessing that interstate tickets are an important source of revenue for Augusta county. They are going to need the $ for a legal settlement when , not if, this guy gets them sued.
