Imperial Oaks Boulevard near Rayford Road

Imperial Oaks, TexasJun 29, 20061 Comments

The Imperial Oaks neighborhood is served by the Rayford Road Municipal Utility District. The RR MUD contracts with the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office for additional patrols. As a result, there is a strong police presence in the neighborhood. Watch out for units (marked and unmarked) on Imperial Oaks Blvd. and the side streets. They routinely pull over drivers for speeding, failing to come to a complete stop, and expired registration/inspections.

Comments:
As a resident of Imperial Oaks, I would like to plead with all drivers to PLEASE stop speeding through my neighborhood. On the street where I live, it's a huge safety issue. Please, we are your neighbors. It's just a narrow street - no wider than the cul de sacs throughout the area. People use my street as a short cut to avoid getting on Rayford Road. And that would be fine, but it's a residential area and not designed to handle the heavy traffic - or the speeders. The speed limit is 25 mph which is the standard speed throughout this subdivision for virtually every street. Yet people routinely drive 10 to 20 miles faster on our street. That has a huge impact on a narrow road like this. It's not safe for pedestrians, children, or seniors. It's not even safe getting your mail out of the mailbox. This is NOT a speed trap. I voted for this as a speed trap accidentally. But believe me, if you have a conscience and you care about the safety of your neighbor, you'll reduce your speed.
