In front of Sam’s Club where speed chngs from 55 to 45

Prescott Valley, ArizonaMar 28, 20102 Comments

Starting Friday, 26 March, Prescott Police have 4 new white motorcycles with laser and on board printers etc. 4-6 PV police cars were parked in Sam’s gas exit taking car after car heading into Prescott Valley, and the 4 motor cycles were taking car after car heading toward Prescott where the road opens to 6 lanes before narrowing back to 4. I saw 5 cars pulled over at one time on both sides of the road and still three motorcycle cops shooting lasers. Like kids with new toys…

Comments:
People who claim the cameras whether mobile or fixed are speed traps are angry because they can't speed. There are signs posted before all cameras, mobile or fixed. The speed limit does not change from 55 to 45 at Sam's club. It is 45 fom the east section of the business district of PV all the way thru PV to Prescott. The reduction from 45 to 35 on Glassford Hill is posted 1/4 mile from the intersection and continues at least 3 miles thru the business area to the intersection at Hwy 69. No matter what the posted speed limit all photo cameras are set at 11 MPH above the posted speed limit which as far as I'm concerned is too high and actually allowing unacceptable speeding. Those that say it's a speed trap are a minority who are likely most interested in crap stirring sites like these. I can tell in all honesty the majority of us have no issue beasuse we drive at the posted speed limits and are considerate of the safety of other drivers.

The speed 45 mph from entering Prescott city to Prescott at 89. Their are no changes along the way. At the Sams Club it is 45 like everywhere else. Drive the speed limit.
