Intersection of Hill and San Pasqual Streets
Not really a speed trap, it is a no-left turn trap. Left turns are prohibited from southbound Hill onto eastbound San Pasqual between 4 and 6 PM. For some reason people (including myself) regularly space out this not-to-prominent sign.
A few times a week there will be two or three motorcycle policemen waiting there for you, waving you over for your ticket. The sign does not register with one person after the other and they all get $350 tickets.
Clearly there is a problem with the signage because normal people just don’t break the law that much. They should probably have a flashing light on the sign during the effective hours but then of course they would not rake in the fines.
