Interstate 10 near Mile Marker 43

Iowa, LouisianaApr 02, 20062 Comments

Motorists can not see the cop hiding behind the dirt overpass until you get right under the overpass. Cop usually sits in a black and white camero during the morning traffic and after noon traffic hours. Most of the time the cop goes to lunch between 12 noon and 1pm. You only have to worry about this speed trap if your going east bound towards Lafayette, La.

Comments:
An officer still hides in this area, drives a Black and White Ford Crown Victoria, loves to hide inside to the right tucked in tightly just as you drive under the bridges. Runs Laser now to avoid Radar Detectors, I met him two weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon around 3:45 P.M.! Usually hides on I-10 just East of Iowa, La, his area of jurisdiction. Beware, he writes citations, especially if you're from out of state, thus more likely won't return to contest the citation in a local court.

Got a ticket for 82 in a 70 on 10/4/15 at 3:00 p.m. City of Iowa doesn't list fines but it is the city's largest source of revenue at about $500,000 a year. Cop is in black car. Will write a ticket!
