Interstate 10 near Mile Marker 632

This area is right on the Caldwell/Gonzales County line. Trooper, Sheriff, and local PD are known to hide just over the hill to catch you. You can see the new BUCCEE’s and the Old Love’s truck stop from here. Also, they’ll sit on either side of the shoulder–or simply be driving along radaring mostly oncoming traffic. You never know which method they’ll use–but it’s a better than 50/50 chance they’ll be an officer patrolling within about 7 miles either way of this area. Especially at night! NOT MUCH TOLERANCE. I was following someone at 72 in a 65. Radar detector went off. The trooper flipped in the median and pulled between me and the car in front–and got the car in front. Close call for me–and the guy in front wasn’t so lucky. He was going no faster than me. Watch it in here.

Comments:
I saw the date of the first post. It is even worse now. They have more units and work both directions of I-10. I see very little forgiveness on the part of the Trooper. I was going 72 and the car that passed me could not have been going any more than 75. He got stopped. Two other troopers where sitting and waiting for the next customer. I drive I 10 from luling to Houston almost every week. This is the one spot I worry about. Be safe. Rob
